Bohemian Bombshell started in October of 2010 in Santa Barbara, California. At the time I was bartending at a local bar/restaurant on State Street with Ariel. We had to wear all black all the time, and  after awhile… it starts to get to you (especially those who like to change outfits 2-3 times a day). My solution to the restaurants creative repression was to pile on as much colorful jewelry as I could get away with. There’s only so far you can go with necklaces and rings and bracelets though when you’re constantly up to your elbows in cheap Vodka. A headband was therefore the perfect solaution. I started making beaded headbands for myself and the other girls in the bar to keep our hair out of our face, AND to give our depressing ensembles al little flair. They caught on like wildfire and soon enough, customers were asking me where they could buy one. A couple weeks later I had opened my very own shop on Etsy and began selling my headbands at local art fairs and craft shows in Santa Barbara. As I became acclimated to this new world of artists, jewelers, and crafters alike I began to develop an even deeper appreciation of QUALITY. When something (wether it be jewelry, art, clothing you name it) is handmade by an artist with passion, enthusiasm, and creativity You can just tell the difference. I love making things, for me creation is a form of expression. As far back as I can remember I liked to collect things from nature and create stories about them. My endless source of hyper curiosity lead me to create BBOMBS.com, the official Bohemian Bombshell Blog, a place where I could explore my individuality and record all the stories my clothes have to tell . The goal of our blog is to promote the Bohemian Lifestyle: Stay True to Yourself. The concept of Bohemia has historically represented a kind of utopian society where we can all live and create freely, behave unconventionally, and co-exist in a community of free souls who give freely and accept openly. ♥

The Bohemian Bombshell♥ La Bohème Beauté

One that is sensationally shocking, surprising, and confident. Who lives and acts free of regard for conventional rules and practices. Who seeks days of inspiration, embraces differences, and understands acceptance. Who lives according to themselves. The late great daughters of mother earth. Living a life they have chosen. Who makes something out of nothing. Who goes against the grain. One who may seem unconventional in appearance and behavior, but is simultaneously an utterly gorgeous and exotically beautiful woman. Viva La Vie Boheme! ♥
